Create and Edit Projects¶
The present4D VR-Suite editor is integrated in the player. It can be started on any device. A Windows PC or Apple Mac is required to create a presentation.
Basic Principle¶
In Editor Mode, every change will be saved immediately.
Collect basis media as 360° images and 360° videos. See also: Media Types and Dimensions of 360° Locations
Collect multimedia content for Slideshows. See also: Multimedia Types and Dimensions

Position the Icons in the 360-degree View with drag and drop either in the VR Mode or using the mouse.

- Add 360° Locations and edit the settings
- Add Slideshows and Multimedia and edit the settings
- Edit settings for HotSpots
- Distribute and Share your Project via the cloud server or use the USB-Transfer
- Edit general Settings

Start Editor Mode¶
- Start or stop the
using a double click (or 10-times click + password. (You have received the Password via email together with your Serial and Portal Key.)

Tip
If the Editor Mode is terminated right after launch, it could be that you have not sufficient privilege on windows. Please start present4D as administrator. (right button click on the application –>

Lock the Editor (Password)¶
In the settings it is possible to setup the Editor Start Mode and Change Editor Password

Controller¶
Keyboard & Mouse¶
- Launch or close iMenu
- Left Mouse Button Double click
- Start & Stop Editor Mode
- Space Bar multiple tab
- Drag and move icons
For long distance: Click and hold Left Mouse Button and move the mouse
For fine tuning:
- Place mouse cursor above the icon
- Press and hold Space Bar
- Move mouse without clicking
- Load next or previous 360° Location
- Arrow Keys Up & Down
- Rotate your view in 15° steps. (To prevent nausea.)
- Arrow Keys Left & Right
- Change the distance of Icons from your eyes. The scale will not be influenced!
- o & p While dragging an Icon
- Change the scale of Icons. The distance will not be influenced!
- Page up & Page down While dragging an Icon

Warning
Restriction: If the distance is set very near, icons should not be set to fade in on mouse over.

Sync between Devices¶
If your device is registered with your License Key, it is possible to upload changes from your current device. On smart devices only changes at configurations can be uploaded - currently no media files! If you have updated the current project, on other devices will be displayed an update notification for the project.

Backups¶
The configuration of your project is stored in the file media.xml
.
Every time you start the editor-mode, a backup of the media.xml
will be created in the folder backups
.
The versioning is limited to 20 backups.
How to Restore¶
- Open the project directory
- Move your current file
media.xml
to a save place (or delete it) - Open the folder
backups
- Copy the backup version you want to restore
- Paste the backup file into the project directory and rename it to
media.xml
- Start the VR-Suite
